A blend consisting mostly of barleywine aged in an amburana bourbon barrel, blended with single and double barrel aged barleywines from bourbon barrels.

For this iteration, Temporal chose to mostly feature a single barrel of barleywine - an amburana barrel that was most recently used to finish an experimental bourbon from Nulu in Kentucky. Their experience with this wood was very similar to last time - massively aromatic, with huge notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cherries - but this time with the added texture of residual bourbon and notes of vanilla and oak that come with spirit aging.

It's almost too intense on its own, so they opted to blend in a bit of barleywine from a Buffalo Trace barrel, as well as a bit of the double barrel aged barleywine from Blanton's+rye ex-cognac.

This was a really tricky blend to get right but Temporal is very pleased with the way it came together. It's unapologetically amburana-forward, representing the finest elements of that barrel, while the more aged portion contributes complimentary notes of luscious booze-soaked plums, raisin, and fig. A true sipper.
