The first and most plentiful of Bottle Logic's #DSNTEN Specialty Rye single-brand releases hails from four remarkable Union Horse Rye casks.

This is a sliver of the same Darkstar November 2023 base (a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout brewed with rye and molasses), aged singularly in Union Horse Rye casks.

Kristy and Lindsay selected these four casks to hold and package independently from the DSN'23 release because they showcase an incredibly unique character -- big brown sugar tones with layers of oak and a mild berry with a long, dry finish. There's a torched sugar/rye spice that almost makes your eyes water, a layer of perfectly crisp New England Autumn leaves, and some soft, well-worn leather that pulls everything together.

A bottle (and draft) tasting pro-tip: If you're planning to taste these rye cask variants one after another, we'd recommend nibbling something like Saltine crackers or high-end dark chocolate between brands.
