It’s finally back! For the first time since 2019, we are so happy to invite you to participate in Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel’s worldwide Péché Day party with us again!

Join us from 15:00 on Saturday, November 23 to celebrate Brasserie Dieu du Ciel’s fantastic Péché Mortel coffee imperial stout. Péché Day 2024 will be held in 45 bars around the world, and only available at MUTED HORN in Germany. We will offer four different varieties of Péché Mortel on tap and a few other Dieu Du Ciel! draft beers too, plus a selection of cans and bottles!

Quebec, Canada's Brasserie Dieu du Ciel is one of our favourite breweries in the world, and you may have already tried some of their delicious beers at Muted Horn or at festivals around Europe.

The classic Péché Mortel coffee imperial stout (French for "Mortal Sin") and its variants consistently appear on various lists of best beers in the world, and we're very excited to share some of these stouts with you.


Péché Mortel Classique

  • Imperial Stout with Coffee, 9.5 % alc/vol. -
    A deep, dark and profound stout. Espresso coffee is infused during the brewing of Péché Mortel, resulting in an intense dark beer with roasted malt flavours enhanced by bitter coffee. The dry finish is long and persistent. This beer was first brewed in DDC!’s Montréal brewpub in October of 2001.

    Péché Mortel Framboise
  • Imperial Coffee Stout with Raspberries, 9.5 % alc/vol. -
    Variant of Péché Mortel brewed with raspberries. Acidity from the fruit and coffee together in harmony, adding complex and fruity aromas. Somewhat reminiscent of Black Forest gateau!

    Péché Mortel Val Ambré 2024
  • Imperial Coffee Stout matured in Val Ambré barrels, 9.5 % alc/vol. -
    Five months maturation in Val Ambré barrels (an eau-de-vie made from the fermentation and distillation of maple sap), bringing a slightly oaky dimension with notes of vanilla and caramel. The coffee expresses delicate moka flavours, instead of the more heavily roasted character of classic Péché Mortel.

    Péché Mortel Bourbon 2023
  • Imperial Coffee Stout aged in Bourbon barrels, 9.5 % alc/vol. -
    Once fermentation is complete, Péché Mortel is aged several months in bourbon oak barrels, which imparts some vanilla and woody aromas as well as bourbon flavours. This beer was first brewed in DDC!’s Montreal brewpub in May of 2009.

    To ensure that everyone gets served quickly and efficiently, we will not be offering tasting trays on this evening.
